Common Pitfalls Even Experienced Buyers Make
- Ignoring storage conditions: I once had 8,000 units ruined because uncured powder coating stored at a warehouse that hit 110°F — the polymer melted and bridged. Now I require temp logs.
- Assuming equal quality across manufacturing sites: PPG makes powder coatings in multiple locations. While most fertilizer is made in a few regions (like China and the US for ammonia-based), PPG's global consistency is actually better — but you still ask for the batch number and its manufacturing plant.
